TIG Welding is often considered the most difficult of the welding processes. This is because the welder needs to maintain a short arc distance between the tungsten and the workpiece but avoiding contamination. TIG Welding normally takes two hands with one hand manually feeding a tig filler rod into the weld pool to build reinforcement and create a strong weld. However TIG welding can also be done on some thinner metals without a filler rod and this is known as fusion welding. It is important to match the filler rod metal to the metal being welded and to use an appropriate tungsten. eWelders stocks a wide range of Tig Welders, TIG filler rods and Tungsten electrodes.
